Some pieces make the camera work harder than usual. This silverware caught the light in a way that was almost impossible to do justice to, which is a good problem to have.
Engraved with the initials MD and the years 1916, 1917, and 1918, this is either a bachelor’s set or a hotel set. Either way, it has been present at a lot of tables over a long time. A lot of conversations. A lot of spilled tea, in every sense of the phrase.
We think MD stands for something else entirely. This set has found its way to us just in time for Mother’s Day and our High Tea celebrations, and that feels exactly right.
These are the pieces that make the philosophy real. Over a hundred years old, still beautiful, still useful, still waiting for the next chapter of their story.
